October Happenings

While it seems like the beginning of October has been put on hold, we are beginning to climb out from the disaster Helene left in her wake.  It will take a while for things to be cleaned up and fixed up and as we do so, we want to make sure our community and local businesses continue to thrive.

We have a couple of events coming up soon in Harlem that we’re participating in. They’re not only really fun, but also help support local businesses and our community.

The first is for the ladies (and gentlemen if you dare). It’s Ladies Night Out in Downtown Harlem.  Come out, drink wine, go shopping, listen to music and hopefully win some giveaways! The cost is $10. All the details to the event can be found here. At our office, we’ll have food, wine and we will be selling shirts and hats and taking donations to raise money for “It’s Spooky to Be Hungry” which will also be helping to provide hurricane relief this year.

The next is our “It’s Spooky to Be Hungry” Food Drive/Halloween Bash partnered with Trick-or-Treat on Main Street. This event is on Thursday, October 24th and starts at 6pm. Bring a canned good and join us for the fun. We will be in front of the library with games, candy, vendors and more. Stay after the event for a movie (The Original Hocus Pocus) and visit with the Sanderlin Sisters. Businesses up and down main street will be open and taking Trick-or-Treaters. All proceeds will be donated to the local food bank and will help fight hunger in our area. More details can be found here.

We hope to see you soon!
